You may recognize Briane Dennison from the television show COPS. Born in Panama, Briane became an orphan at six months old. After living in an orphanage for a year and a half, he was adopted by Retired U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Frederick and Sue Dennison and became a United States citizen. A military veteran, Briane served 23 years in law enforcement and retired as a decorated police officer with the Albuquerque Police Department in New Mexico. Soon after giving his life to the Lord, Briane met the Reverend Billy Graham at a crusade, and would later fulfill his calling as an ordained minister.
A recipient of the Albuquerque Police Department's Meritorious Service Medal, Briane was appointed as the first police officer in the history of the department to serve as Chaplain Commander. As Chaplain Commander, Briane led over 30 chaplains from different faiths to provide support to 1,400 department personnel. In addition, Briane ensured the chaplains responded to over 400 calls a year to provide spiritual support to citizens who were in crisis; and along with the chaplains and department personnel launched Operation Hope, to help those in crisis in the community.
Over the years, Briane has shared the Good News with thousands on television, radio, church services, community events, and at his Jubilee Festivals. In addition, he has served the local church as an assistant pastor, senior pastor and evangelist.
Currently, Briane is a member of The Table Coalition (formerly The Mission America Coalition) and serves as chaplain for Pointman 4 Veterans, which provides support to active duty military, veterans and first responders.
Briane resides in San Diego County, where he enjoys spending time with his family.
